If you didn't already know, "a vegetarian is a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat (vegetarian)." But being a vegetarian doesn't mean you only eat vegetables all the time. There are lots of other choices, like: soy, wheat, fruit, beans, rice, sweets, etc.. It is a very healthy diet, as long as you go about it in the right way. For instance; eating chips, or sweets, like ice cream all the time is not the way to go.
Some people might get vegetarians and vegans mixed up. So let me make that clear: A vegetarian, is someone who doesn't eat meat. A vegan is someone who doesn't eat anything that comes from animals; For example: eggs, milk, and cheese. But there are a lot of different views on what a vegetarian is. "Different people follow different forms of vegetarianism. A true vegetarian eats no meat at all, including chicken and fish. A lacto-ovo vegetarian eats dairy products and eggs, but excludes meat, fish, and poultry. It follows, then, that a lacto vegetarian eats dairy products but not eggs, whereas an ovo vegetarian eats eggs but not dairy products (Gavin)."
That may seem hard, transitioning from a meat eater to a vegetarian or vegan. But to me, it is definitely well worth is to be healthy.
